Brand new building and clinic toys
Forth Valley Vets have commenced building of a new purpose-built hospital being constructed on 73 acres of land purchased on Forth Road. The new building will include:
➡️Dedicated sterile surgical suites, individual imaging rooms for digital radiology and ultrasonography and a dental suite.
➡️Separate ICU wards for dog and cat plus a dedicated quarantine zone.
➡️Large open prep room with service towers and work-spaces overlooked by a raised nurses station. Plus six consultation rooms flow seamlessly from the plant adorned reception through to inventory and prep areas.

Leadership in a Clinical Setting: Lead by example in high-stakes environments, guide teams through complex procedures to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Strategic Decision-Making: Make informed decisions influencing patient care and referral management.
Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively balance and manage consultations, surgeries, and mentoring duties.
Commitment to continuing Education: Stay updated with advancements in the specialty, integrate new techniques into practice and disseminating this knowledge to other in our team.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in small animal veterinary practice with a veterinary degree, acknowledged within Australia and eligible for registration with the Tasmania Veterinary Board
Work Conditions:
Full-time role over an 8 or 9 day fortnight is preferable.
A choice to be part of our Tasmania Wildlife Hospital veterinarian rotation as part of the role, with clinical hands-on wildlife work.
No Saturday shift.
No active afterhours roster participation. There may be sporadic and infrequent requests for surgical support from our afterhours/emergency veterinary team, by mutual agreement only.
Salary:
