Dogs Can Read Minds ?
Owning a pet enriches your life in so many ways. Yet many people remain unaware of the physical and mental health benefits that can come when we embark on the human-animal bond.
Dogs are acutely attuned to their humans and our behaviour and emotions. They are able to understand words, interpret our tone of voice, body language and gestures. Dogs are very sensitive to your energy and can smell your emotions. So, if you’re absolutely sure your dog can read your mind, you will be pleased to know you’re right…. well almost right.
As it turns out, a recent study in dogs determined that dogs can sense our emotion using their noses. Once your dog sniffs out your mood, your dog then adjusts his mood accordingly. So, if you’re feeling fearful, this can then make your dog fearful. Same goes if you’re happy -- this can make your dog jump for joy, ready for happy play time.
It’s already scientifically proven that dogs can see and hear human emotions, but until recently no one was 100% certain that dogs could smell them as well.
Pets, especially dogs and cats, can encourage exercise and playfulness, improve your cardiovascular health, they can reduce stress, depression, anxiety and ease loneliness. Inviting an animal into your family can help children grow up more secure, responsible and active. Pets bring unconditional love to your life and are fabulous companions.
